Banrock Station Wines

Good wine needs a great environment. Our Banrock Station vineyards and wetlands sit side by side along the banks of the meandering Murray River in South Australia’s Riverland. It is here that our passion for great tasting wine and commitment to the environment come together.

Banrock Station Wines

We love our environment

For more than 25 years, we have contributed to conservation projects around the world as well as helping fund our Ramsar Accredited Wetlands site in South Australia.

Since 2021, Banrock Station has partnered with Landcare Australia to plant native trees and shrubs, creating habitats for Australian wildlife and communities to enjoy while helping remove harmful carbon from the atmosphere.

Thanks to your help, we’ve been able to contribute more than $7.5 million to over 130 environmental projects across 13 countries.

Our Wetlands

Our wetlands are a vital part of the environment, acting as living water filters, nurseries of the valley. Our wetlands play a vital role in carbon capture, helping reduce the impacts of climate change. Combined, the lagoons cover over 250 hectares and the total site over 1,000 hectares, including mallee woodland.

Learn more about wetlands and how they can help us fight climate change.

Our Vineyards

The natural habitat zones on the property exist side-by-side with vineyards that comply with the highest environmental standards. This area of preserved natural beauty is what makes our brand and our wine unique.

The Wine & Wetland Centre

Rammed earth walls on one side protect the building from the harsh summer sun. In addition, rooftop solar help us to power the cellar door and restaurant.
